Arguably the most important layer, the baselayer helps to regulate the bodies core temperature by wicking moisture away from your body to keep you dry and comfortable. From hiking to cycling, select a base layer which is optimally suited to the type of activity and conditions, cause staying dry is key to staying warm.
Each baselayer offers its own unique properties, from quick-drying, odour control to improved recovery post-exercise.
Derma-Tec Baselayer:
Derma-Tec is unquestionably the most advanced performance baselayer. Featuring cutting-edge Body Mapping Technology (BMT) for differential insulation, and compression benefits for accelerated recovery, this is the baselayer of choice for every high-performance activity.

Fabric Composition: 60% Polypropylene 34% polyamide 6 % Elastane
Fabric weight: Mid-weight: 225g/m2
Tech Features: Use of body mapping technology (BMT) allows for better regulation of your body’s temperature, providing warmth to areas that need it most and increasing breathability in areas of the body that tend to overheat.
Heatshield Long Sleeve Tops:
Polartec® Power Dry® pulls moisture directly from the skin and transfers it to the outer surface to quickly dissipate. This continuous evaporation process helps to keep you cool, as your body heat increases and warm when temperatures begin to drop. The technology used to control moisture is the highest priority for baselayers and next-to-skin surfaces, making the Heatshield long sleeve the ultimate cycling baselayer.

BASELAYER AS A LAYERING ITEM
Baselayers are an essential garment and form the foundation layer within the layering system. It is important that when selecting your outerwear, to consider items which can be layered together for ultimate warmth, yet preserve your ability to move freely and in comfort.
Baselayers should be fitted on your body in order to maintain temperature and wick-moisture away from the body's surface. It is extremely important to select the correct baselayer for the type of activity, in order to improve its efficiency.
CARING FOR YOUR BASELAYER
Looking after your baselayer has never been easier! To increase the lifespan of your baselayer, we recommend using a technical apparel wash and wash by hand, else alternatively a cold machine wash. We do not recommend the use of a fabric softener, or the tumble drying of your baselayer.
