Kick-off the New Year with a bang at the Attakwas Extreme MTB Race, or for those who just want to ease into the New Year there is also the Atta Half.
Known as South Africa’s premier one-day mountain bike race, the Attakwas Extreme takes riders on an adventure through the desert and mountains of the Klein Karoo with a finish at the Garden Route Coast.

An iconic four-stage race, the Momentum Health Tankwa Trek presented by Biogen is truly a ride like no other.
With breathtaking trails through the Bokkeveld and winding routes in the Witzenburg area, this race features some of the most unique scenery in South Africa. The Knysna Bull

From winners to warriors, you’re free to ride. The Knysna Bull is SA’s first individual-only Mountain Bike Stage Race.
Traversing through the beautiful indigenous forest trails of Knysna, this 3-day MTB event covers 200km of breathtaking mountain and forest trails.

Glacier Cradle Traverse
Date: 3 - 5 April
Looking for an MTB event, which has all fundamentals of a stage race, but without a competitive atmosphere – then this is the race for you!
Hosted at the Avianto Lifestyle Estate in Gauteng, this three-day mountain big stage race is a mere 30 minutes from the city and 10 minutes from Lanseria, making it easily accessible for everyone.
With trails that are often described as Gauteng’s ‘best kept secret’, riders are welcomed to the ‘wild side’ of Gauteng and given a truly unique experience of the area surrounding the Cradle of Humankind.

Known as South Africa’s largest mountain bike stage race, the KAP Sani2C attracts almost 4,500 entrants each year, divided into three separate instalments: The Trail, The Adventure and The Race all departing within one day of another.
Over and above the incredible hospitability, breathtaking trails and incredible race village, is the iconic large floating bridges, which see riders crossing large bodies of water on bike.

FNB Magalies Monster MTB Classic
Date: 30 - 31 May
A great setting, spectacular scenery, technically challenging sections with unique single trails and a fantastic atmosphere combine to create an incredible MTB event in the North West Province.
With varying distances from 65km to 2.5km, this is a race for the whole family to participate in. In addition to the MTB event, checkout the incredible trail running event too.

Glacier Storms River Traverse
Date: 8 - 10 August
A race designed for the intermediate cyclist looking for an adventure without having to spend hours training every day.
The beautiful and untouched gem of the Garden route is home to this 3-day mountain bike stage race, taking riders along the coastline and into mountains, with daily distances from 40 – 70km.

Buco Lions Karoo to Coast

The Buco Lions Karoo to Coast Mountain Bike Challenge is a 100km off road race from Uniondale to Knysna via the Prince Alfred Pass. Scenic, but challenging, riders are encouraged to train sufficiently for this event in order to maximise the enjoyment of the experience.

Ride the Karoo

Ride the Karoo is not about crossing the finish line as quick as possible but rather about experiencing the karoo like you have never before.
Ride the Karoo, a 3-day stage race, takes riders along 200 year old stone walls, on smooth “sheeptracks” and passes the all too familiar windpomp scenes of the Karoo.
