Robby now in final preparation for Everest
Political unrest in China saw First Ascent sponsored Robby Kojetin canceling his 2008 Everest expedition at the last minute, a setback that would have dampened many a spirit. However, overcoming adversity and setbacks have become a specialty for this enthusiastic young mountaineer, on and off mountains. Robby will depart for Everest on the 28th of March to go and fulfill a lifelong dream, but this certainly isn’t the only reason he hopes to stand on top of the tallest mountain in the world.
His expedition to Everest, dubbed the Climb of Hope, has now raised more than R120 000 in hard cash for CANSA and received nearly a million rand in support… and you were wondering what Robbie’s been up to for the last year!
Robbie has now laid down the final gauntlet and charged us all with the task of challenging those around us to secure a block on his Climb of Hope summit banner.
