Expedition Amazonas is a 7 month, 7000km trek and paddle, along the entire length of the mighty Amazon River – by far the world’s biggest and longest river. The journey is a traverse of the South American continent, from the river’s source high in the Andes of Peru, to it’s mouth where it meets the Atlantic Ocean off Brazil.
Brought together by shared values, skills and ambition, the Expedition Amazonas has a multi-national team, with members hailing from Australia, South Africa and the UK. Complimentary skills and experience forged on rivers and explorations around the globe combine to form an awesome team.
Encountering a range of terrain from harsh deserts, the snow-capped mountains of the Andes and ultimately the Amazon itself, the team face adventure, adrenalin, peril, hardship and life-changing experiences at every twist and turn of the mighty river.
